With
the help of the Foundation, a wide variety of activities are supported.
Children are able to do a lot of sports, including playing basketball,
football, volleyball, judo, wrestling, swimming and horseback riding. The
Foundation also supports children's interest in music. Tuition has been paid
for piano and guitar lessons and even choral singing. Children interested in
art have been able to go to pottery classes, and a couple of children have
needed funding for language studies.
Two of our children are by now studying in
university, and they receive a grant from the Foundation. At the beginning of
the school year in September, all of our children receive a "backpack
funding" for school supplies.
As it is first and foremost about supporting the
education of the children, the Foundation recognises the importance to provide
higher education for all our children, if necessary. Most of our children are
currently in kindergarten, primary school or elementary school. We are raising
funds to support the children's university education in the future.
With our camp funding, we have been able to help
children participate in sports tournaments, sports camps, and take part in the
very first hobby camp of their lives. Through this, many children have had the
opportunity to pursue their hobbies in depth.
In addition to financial support, the Foundation
considers it very important to remember the families of the members of the
Defense Forces who have died or were seriously injured. We want to draw the
public's attention to veterans who have contributed to Estonia's national
defence - at the cost of their lives or health.
The Foundation wants to ensure confidence to our
national defenders that if something happens to them, there is a foundation
that helps their children to receive an education in different ways.
We are a forward-looking foundation; our
existence helps to provide confidence for all members of the Defense Force with
families. We cannot forget that they often have to fulfil their obligation
under their promise while endangering their lives and health.
